Architecture.... Stadstimmerwerf (City carpenter's yard) The city carpenter, who was in charge of all public building in the 17th century, was housed here. The richly decorated facade on the right was his residence, while the yard was situated to the left. In 1651 a corn warehouse was built to the back of the yard, designed by Arent van 's Gravesande.
