Herman Boerhaave.... Caecilia gasthuis (Caecilia Hospital)  or many years Boerhaave worked and taught at the Caecilia Hospital. Nowadays this building houses the Boerhaave Museum. This museum treats the history of medicine and sciences. It shows what training a doctor in Boerhaave's day received and how he worked. Also, a reconstruction the Theatrum Anatomicum, where corpses were dissected, can be admired.
