Rembrandt.... Langebrug 89  his is where Jacob Isaacksz Swanenburg, Rembrandt's first teacher, lived after his return from Italy till his death. Rembrandt was apprenticed with Swanenburg for 3 years, after which he was taught for six months in 1623 by Pieter Lastman in Amsterdam. After that Rembrandt established himself as a painter in Leiden. |
